Subject: Election – Voter Turnout Analysis
As requested, the following details the area of residence for those voters that did vote in the 2010 municipal election, as well as, those voters who did not vote:

The above shows that 59% of ratepayers that live either in SSM or on the Island did not vote. There was an advance vote held on a Saturday with the intention of accommodating SSM ratepayers.
Changes were made to the original voters’ list re additions/deletions as a result of deceased persons being listed, as well as, names listed twice (owners of multiple properties).
The attached chart details voter percentages for area municipalities along with voting method.
